Xyte Announces Availability of Xyte Secure Edge to Extend Enterprise Device Control to Legacy, On-Prem Environments

Xyte, creator of the first AI-powered cloud platform for enterprise teams, integrators, and manufacturers to manage connected devices at scale, today announced the availability of Xyte Secure Edge, a secure, pre-installed edge appliance that enables organizations to extend cloud-based monitoring, management, and automation to legacy devices on local networks – without the need to deploy or support their own servers.

Xyte Secure Edge delivers enterprise-grade device control with zero installation hassle. Shipping fully configured and ready to deploy, the appliance securely connects local devices to the Xyte cloud in seconds, giving customers a single pane of glass to manage their entire device fleet – any brand, any device, any location.

“Many organizations still rely on critical legacy devices that operate exclusively on local networks,” said Omer Brookstein, CEO and cofounder of Xyte. “With Xyte Secure Edge, customers can bring those devices into the Xyte platform quickly and securely – without adding IT overhead, specialized hardware expertise, or long deployment cycles.”

Turnkey Deployment, Immediate Visibility

Designed for enterprise-scale deployments, Xyte Secure Edge arrives with Xyte Connect Edge pre-installed, allowing customers to monitor and manage legacy devices alongside cloud-connected devices from a single interface. The result is faster time-to-value, reduced onsite work, and simplified operations across distributed environments.

Xyte Secure Edge is ideal for:

  • Customers without available server infrastructure
  • Organizations that want edge capabilities without IT complexity
  • MSPs and system integrators deploying edge solutions at scale
  • Distributed environments where simplicity and speed are critical

Secure and Reliable by Design

Built as a hardened, always-on edge appliance, Xyte Secure Edge emphasizes security, reliability, and trust. Local data processing reduces cloud dependency and exposure, while trusted hardware with TPM 2.0 support helps ensure the system is secure from boot onward and resistant to tampering.

The appliance also includes a dedicated management interface for remote support by Xyte engineers, with remote access enabled only after explicit physical action by the customer—ensuring full control and transparency.

Enterprise-Grade Hardware Specifications

Xyte Secure Edge is delivered on a fanless, compact SNUC extremeEDGE Server (Model: EES24E11iC / EE-1110) featuring:

  • Intel® Celeron® N100 processor
  • 32GB DDR5 memory
  • 256GB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD
  • 2 × 2.5GbE Ethernet ports and 1 × 1GbE dedicated BMC management port
  • USB 3.2, USB-C, HDMI, and Mini-DisplayPort connectivity
  • Ubuntu OS optimized for Xyte Connect Edge

The appliance is purpose-built for continuous, unattended edge operation in enterprise and distributed environments.
